Hilbert nominated for author of the year
Author C. E. (Courtney) Hilbert has been nominated for the "Christian Book Awards New Author of the Year" for her novel, "The Wooing of Jane Grey."
The novel tells the story of Jane Grey, a thirty-something woman whose life seems in order, yet she feels like she needs a change. Then into her life come two potential suitors - a successful attorney and a pro hockey player. It's a situation where Jane must decide between her head and her heart.
The novel won a certificate of merit award in the Deep River Books writing contest.
Hilbert grew up in Groveport and as a young girl wrote stories to entertain herself between Bookmobile visits. Today she volunteers for the youth ministry at the Groveport United Methodist Church. She has a degree in economics and politics from Westminster College and works in the fashion retailing industry by day and writes romantic fiction by night.
