Hopeful Hearts Hope United Methodist Church, 83 E. Columbus St. in Canal Winchester, sponsors a free baby clothing distribution for sizes newborn to 5T, boys and girls, known as Hopeful Hearts, from 10 a.m. to noon on the fourth Saturday of each month. Mammograms offered Fitness Firm, 19 E. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, has arranged to have the Mt. Carmel Women's Health Center's Mobile Mammography Unit to be in Canal Winchester during Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to noon. They will perform routine screening mammograms. CW leaf pick-up The city of Canal Winchester began leaf pick-up on Oct. 1 and finish up on Dec. 7. Leaf piles must be placed along the street and contain leaves only. Sticks, grass trimmings and other yard waste will not be collected due to the damage it can cause to the city equipment. Regular yard waste will continue to be picked up by Waste Management during scheduled trash collection.
