Constitution Week

Michael Ippoliti, president of the Canal Winchester Area Historical Society (CWAHS), signs a proclamation urging members to observe Constitution Week as Jeanette Schneider, member of the Elizabeth Sherman Reese Chapter, DAR, observes.  On Sept. 17, 1787, a federal convention completed its task of writing the Constitution for the United States. This year marked the 225th anniversary of that historic occasion. Constitution Week is observed from Sept. 17-23 each year.  The CWAHS and the city of Canal Winchester each issued proclamations urging all to remember the ideals of the framers of the Constitution during Constitution Week.
