Fall recycling drives set

The Madison County/Union County program of the North Central Ohio Solid Waste District is conducting a series of fall recycling drives. No household hazardous waste or tires will be accepted at any of the collection drives. 

Sept. 29, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Madison County Fairgrounds
Garfield Avenue entrance, London

Electronic waste will be accepted at no charge: computers, servers, modems, monitors, keyboards, routers, mice, speakers, printers, faxes, copiers, cell phones, scanners, back-up systems, laptops, DVD players, games systems, hard drives, floppy drives, electronic batteries, etc. 

Televisions of all sizes will be taken at a charge of $15 each, no matter the size.

Madison County sheriff’s deputies will take any unused, unwanted or expired medications at no charge. 

Paper documents will be accepted from residents only. Documents can be in any type of container. There is no limit on the amount that can be recycled. Documents will be shredded on the scene at no charge; containers will be returned upon request.

Electronic waste will be accepted at no charge. Televisions will be accepted for a fee of $15 each, no matter the size.

Madison County sheriff’s deputies will take any unused, unwanted or expired medications at no charge.

Paper documents from residents only will be accepted for shredding though shredding might not be done on the scene.

Oct. 6, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Union Recyclers
15140 U. S. Rte. 36 East, Marysville

Electronic waste and appliances will be accepted at no charge (including those with Freon). Televisions will be taken for a fee of $15 each, no matter the size. Documents from residents only will be shredded on the scene at no charge and with no limit. Aluminum beverage cans will be purchased for 5 cents over the current market price for the day.

Oct. 13, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Electronic waste will be accepted at no charge. Televisions will be taken for a fee of $15 each, no matter the size. 

West Jefferson Police officers will be on hand to take unwanted, unused or expired medications at no charge.

Paper documents will be accepted from residents only. Documents can be in any type of container. There is no limit on the amount that can be recycled. Documents will be shredded on the scene at no charge; containers will be returned upon request.

Oct. 20, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Pastime Park in Plain City

Electronic waste will be accepted at no charge. Televisions will be accepted for a fee of $15 each, no matter the size.

Plain City Police officers will collect unwanted medications at no charge. Unlimited confidential residential paper documents will be shredded on scene at no charge.
