Olde Pickerington Village to host chocolate hop
Life is always better with a chocolate candy bar and a glass of milk.
The Olde Pickerington Village Business Association is helping residents take care of those chocolate cravings.
The second annual Olde Village Chocolate Hop will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. May 4.
OPVBA has joined with Pickerington High School Central and North students with proceeds benefitting the PHSC and PHSN AfterProms, as well as OPVBA Community Events.
“We expect more participation this year,” OPVBA co-chair Dave Beckham said. “After selling out last year, we increased available tickets to 400 this year.”
Participants can expect to have a great time visiting businesses throughout the village to see what they have to offer with no pressure to purchase anything.
“It’s great to meet people and talk to them,” Beckham said. “Last year’s event was really cool fun together for all ages.”
With a $5 donation, participants will receive a map of more than 20 participating businesses in the Olde Pickerington Village who will provide a “thank you” after visiting - a little chocolate treat.
Last year’s participants handed out treats such as fondue and chocolate bars.
All participants must have their receipt ticket available to receive their special treat of chocolate.
“You can’t buy this much chocolate for $5,” Beckham said.
Tickets may be purchased at Deblin Design, BJ’s Bouquets, David Beckham Photography and The Hair Boutique, as well as through the PHSC and PHSN AfterProm clubs.
Some tickets also will be available the day of the event at the plaza next to the historical society building. Maps will be available at the plaza as well.
