Westgate Masonic Lodge gives community service award

Dewey Stokes is a lifelong resident of the Westside and was a Columbus police officer for 27 years. Stokes served multiple duties as an officer, performing everything from uniformed patrol to the Organized Crime Bureau. He retired in 1994 and then served as a Franklin County commissioner for 12 years. Stokes is still active with his community and one of the figures pushing for the redevelopment of the Westside.
