London Library is sending out roughly 5,200 surveys to community members during the third week of April through The Bag distribution service. The library is looking to gain insight on a variety of topics, as well as communicate to local residents what it has to offer.
“We dont want to be the best kept secret in town, said Director Mike Hensel. We want everyone to know exactly what is waiting for them when they visit the library.
As an incentive for community members to participate in the survey, the library is giving away two e-Book readers and one Toshiba Thrive tablet. Dwyer Bros. Inc. Hardware Store, Radio Shack and the Friends of the London Public Library are sponsoring the prizes.
To be entered into the drawing, community members 18 years and older must return a completed survey to the library by April 30. Only one survey per person, per household will be allowed in the drawing. Community members also can fill out surveys at the library.
“As we continue to provide day-to-day services and plan for the future, we want the community to be assured that we are doing our best, Hensel said.
In the meantime, the library continues to stay busy checking out materials and hosting story times, computer classes, movie nights and other programming, information about which can be found at www.mylondonlibrary.org.
