The staff and citizens of the Canal Winchester Local School District are invited to meet with Dick Caster, senior consultant for the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) at public forums regarding Canal Winchester Local Schools’ superintendent search. Caster has been retained to assist the board of education in its search for a new superintendent and he will gather input from parents, residents and staff that will be used by the board as it conducts interviews and checks references of superintendent candidates.
Areas that will be addressed include: major issues facing the district for the next three to five years; performance expectations people have of the next superintendent; and personal and professional qualities to be sought in the next superintendent.
The forums will be held Sept. 26 in rooms 204/206 of the district’s education center, 100 Washington St. Forum times are:
•7:45-8 a.m. – food service personnel;
•8-8:50 a.m. – paraprofessional and aides;
•9-9:50 a.m. – transportation personnel;
•10-10:50 a.m. – administration;
•11-11:50 a.m. – clerical personnel;
•1-2 p.m. – community members;
•2:10-3 p.m. – custodial staff;
•3:10-4:20 p.m. – grades 6-12 teaching staff;
•4:30-5:40 p.m. - grades K-5 teaching staff;
•7-8 p.m. – community members.
