Free food program starts in June
The Hilltop Lutheran Church, 12 South Terrace Ave., will provide free food to children between June 13 and Aug. 17. Meals will be served Monday through Friday, noon to 1 p.m.
This Summer Food Service Program for Children is sponsored by the Upper Arlington Lutheran Church and available to eligible children age 18 and under or persons over 18 who are determined by a state or local public educational agency to be mentally or physically disabled.
Children who are members of food stamp households or OWF assistance units are automatically eligible for free meals. To be eligible, children participating in residential camps must meet the income guidelines for reduced meals in the National School Lunch Program.
Children from households with income less than or equal to the Secretary of Agriculture's standards listed below would be eligible for free meals.
