| The U12 Central Ohio Select baseball team, reigning state champions, won the AIA Baseball Tournament, held April 2-3 in Xenia, Ohio. Team members are, from left to right: (row one) Dylan Carpenter, Sam Wilson, Jordan Bailey, Matt Dockman, Colin Hoffman; (row two) Major Belli, Jake Ruby, Drew Rosi, Seth Gray, and Peter Bartlome; (row three) Asst. Coach Mike Dockman, Asst. Coach Jeff Wilson, Manager Brent Bartlome, and Head Coach Jason Gray. (Not pictured - Dillan Smith.) The tournament was extra special because the boys set out to bring the championship trophy home for their teammate Dillan Smith. Smith could not attend due to a relative's fight of cancer. The boys presented the team trophy to Smith upon his return to the team. |

Glad to see such dedicated boys fight for their team member during a difficult time. Teams of this caliber seem to lose sight of what's important...friendship & life. Great job to the coaches and parents for teaching them what's right. A big Select fan now! Can;t wait to see how they do in 2011. |
