Messenger photos by Whitney Wilson Coy
Central Crossing High School’s Flag Corp leads their band down West Broad Street during the Westland Area Independance Day Parade on June 30.
Participants from the US Martial Arts Southwest Karate stop in the street to demonstrate their skills.
The ladies of the Red Hat Society wave to the crowd.
This patriotic dog, one of many on hand from Angel Animal Hospital, seemed to be glad to reach the end of the parade.
Doctors Hospital entered this float in the parade.
This patriotic horse and carriage was the source of manys “Oohs” and “Ahhs” from the crowd.
