City opens new trail and gives bike to local boy

The grand opening of Grove City's newest bike multi-purpose trail on Holton Road opened with bike decorating event, bike parade, and a new bicycle for Noah Dustman, won by his grandmother Lois Strum. The bicycle was donated by Grove City Police Officer Chris Eberhard.

The ribbon cutting took place on the corner of Holton Road and Meadowgrove Drive with residents and Mayor Richard L. "Ike" Stage, council members Melissa Albright and Greg Grinch. This trail marks the important connection of Hoover Road to Buckeye Parkway, including safe access to Buckeye Woods Elementary School, Jackson Middle School, and Creekside Park.

"We are continually working to improve the connectivity of our trail system throughout Grove City," said Mayor Richard "Ike" Stage. "The Holton Road connector is an important part of the plan to make our city the most walkable, safe and bikable city in the region."

New Grove City trail maps are available at City Hall, 4035 Broadway.
