Hometown Car Show
The Hometown Car Show, presented by the Southeastern Franklin County Chamber of Commerce and the village of Groveport, will be held the afternoon of Sept. 19 from noon to 3 p.m. on Groveport's historic Main Street.

Awards will be presented at 3 p.m. to the Top 20 Pre and Post 1979 vehicles, along with four Choice Awards. Vehicle registration will be accepted from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. for $15/car, the day of the event. Dash plaques and t-shirts will be presented to the first 100 entries. Any car clubs that bring in five or more cars, will save $5 on each registration.
"The car show is just another wonderful event that will be held in downtown Groveport," said Bob Garvin, chamber president. "It's a great opportunity for both local residents and others to visit our great community."
Chamber Executive Director Susan Brobst agreed, "The Chamber is proud to partner with the village on this exciting community event."
Brobst noted the 50/50 raffle will benefit Greater Groveport Human Needs.
New this year: local businesses will have business tables and some items for sale, including Cookie Lee Jewelry; AVON; Bepler State Farm Insurance; Wagner Insurance, KidsConnect, First Service Federal Credit Union, GM Committee for Better Schools.
Sponsors of the show awards are Mayor's Choice, sponsored by Mayor Lance Westcamp; People's Choice, Best of Show and Chamber's Choice all sponsored by 1st Service Federal Credit Union.

There will be activities for kids, sponsored by Baymont Inn and Suites, coordinated by the Southeast Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library. These activities will be located in the Myers-Woodyard Funeral Home parking lot. Weather permitting, the Wagner Llamas will be making an appearance on the front lawn of the Huntington Bank.
