On Aug. 19, organizers of the London Cobra Show (from left) Gordon Gross, Frank Forestiere, Rich Bailey and Bill Dyer presented London Safety-Service Director Steve Hume with donations to various local law and safety forces: $1,000 to the London Police Department, $1,000 to the London Fire Department, $500 to the London EMS, and $1,000 to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office for the DARE program.

The Ohio Cobra Club makes the donations annually as a thank-you for the city’s and county’s logistical assistance before, during and after the show, which takes place during the London Strawberry Festival. The show is one of the largest, if not the largest, gathering of Cobra cars in the world. The show’s record is 325 cars. This year, visitors came from as far away as Alaska, Hawaii, Australia, Chile, Denmark and England.
