Spielman Gridiron Classic
Groveport Madison High School will host the Spielman Gridiron Classic at Cruiser Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 28.
The classic, started by former Ohio State and NFL football star, Chris Spielman, raises money for cancer research. This year the game will be played between Groveport Madison and Westerville South. Tickets are $8for adults with $2 going for cancer research. Student tickets will remain $4.
Spielman will talk at halftime and all cancer survivors and their families are invited to be on the field while he talks. Buffalo Wild Wings is the sponsor for the event and will throw mini-footballs into the stands while the game is going on. The programs will be free and inside there is a sticker on the Buffalo Wild Wings ad. Two winners will be announced and they will be getting a signed Chris Spielman football.
There will be 400 t-shirts for sale at the game for $10. At the end of the game a most valuable player will be announced and both teams will receive a trophy after the game.
