Alumni Cross Country Race
London High School cross country coach Kevin Horne and Ryan Ladd, the middle shcool coach, will host the first annual Alumni XC race at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 18 at London High School. Alumni can meet the new class of Red Raiders, who have set high goals for 2010. Last year, the boys’ and girls’ teams earned league titles, qualified to the OHSAA Regional Championships, and sent a male individual to state. The goal of the alumni race is to provide current Red Raiders with a chance to meet the former athletes who planted the seed of tradition of London cross country, and give current athletes an opportunity to turn in a two-mile time trial prior to the season. The two-mile run will kick off at 6:30 p.m. A cook-out will follow. Alumni can bring dessert. The staff and team will provide the rest of the food. Even alumni who are not in shape to run can come and enjoy the evening. Alumni who want to participate should contact Ryan Ladd at rladd@ci.london.oh.us.
