Circus coming to West Jefferson on Aug. 20

The Lewis and Clark Circus will hold two shows, 5 and 7:30 p.m., Aug. 20 at the West Jefferson Ox Roast Grounds located behind Garrette Park (West Fellows Avenue).
The Lewis and Clark Circus is a one-ring, European style circus that features trapeze artists, acrobats, clowns and liberty animal acts, which includes horses and camels. Their midway offers parents and children the chance to interact with the animals inside the petting zoo. As an added feature, camel rides and pony rides are offered for a small fee to children.
Advanced tickets can be purchased at the Madison County Chamber of Commerce, 730 Keny Blvd., London, at a discounted rate of $10 for those who are 15 years old and above. Children 14 years old and under can receive a free admission coupon with the purchase of an advanced purchase adult ticket. Tickets purchased on the day of the show are $15 for adults (17 and older), $8 for teens (15-16), and $5 for children (14 and under).
