SWAC to hold election
The Southwest Area Commission will hold its annual election on Aug. 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Finland Elementary School, 1835 Finland Ave.
The annual election takes place during the National Night Out Celebration. Anyone interested in being a candidate on the ballot must submit their name, address, telephone number and a statement indicating why they are interested in being an area commissioner. This information can be sent regular mail or by e-mail to the following addresses; Southwest Area Commission, 1397 Gorham Dr., Columbus, Ohio 43223 or by e-mail at jason_waltke@yahoo.com.
Eligible candidates and voters must reside in the city of Columbus within the boundaries of the Southwest Area Commission as defined by the bylaws. Those boundaries are the Scioto River (east), I-270 (south), CSX Railroad Track, west of Harrisburg Pike (west) and Mound Street/Mount Calvary/Greenlawn (north).
