Groveport police officers hurt in car crash
Two Groveport police officers received minor injuries when their police cruiser was involved in an accident with another vehicle on July 23 near 2650 E. London Groveport Road.
According to Groveport Police Lt. Kurt Blevins, Officer Joseph Adams, who was driving, broke his hand; and Officer Ernie Bell, who was a passenger in the cruiser, suffered minor injuries. Both were released front Grant Hospital on July 23.
Blevins said the police cruiser received "significant damage" and had to be towed from the scene. He said it is unknown whether or not the vehicle can be repaired and the village of Groveport is awaiting information from its insurance adjuster.
According to the crash report made by the Madison Township Police Department, the other driver was not cited.

police officers need more driving training. I see Groveport officers & Madison township officers which do not use signals & they also turn on their flashing lights just to blow thru an intersection then they go to gas station or Frisches or BE. Not a good example.!!!!! |
