Town Center community workshop series
The city of Grove City will host a Town Center community workshop series.
Graeter's ice cream will be the first order of business for the kickoff meeting of a three-day workshop series. The series will be facilitated by Jamie Greene, principal of ACP Visioning, a nationally recognized firm linking public participation and strategic implementation.
"The purpose of these meetings is to continue to gather input from Grove City residents as well as business and property owners about the next phase of the Town Center redevelopment area," said Mayor Richard "Ike" Stage.
The first meeting will include a brief description of the Town Center plan and the work completed to date. Input will be collected that evening and throughout the next day from those interested in making suggestions. The third meeting will be an open house/feedback session, to confirm and validate the collected information.
Community workshop series
•Tuesday, July 13 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Ice cream social begins at 6:30 p.m., meeting begins at 7 p.m.
•Wednesday, July 14 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., drop-in and public input
•Thursday, July 15 from 7 to 9 p.m., open house and presentation
"The Town Center is a critical element of our city," said Stage. "We are looking for input from everyone who cares about the future of the Grove City community. We encourage you to attend one or all of the meetings. The recent termination of the approved lumberyard development plan provides the opportunity for all of us to think critically about alternatives for the site and surrounding areas."
All events will be held at the former Kenstar Pharmacy, 3995 Broadway, Grove City. If you are unable to attend these meetings and wish to provide input, please e-mail your information to info@acp-planning.com.
