Pickerington gears up for Relay for Life
Pickerington will host its annual Relay for Life event from 10 a.m. June 19 to 10 a.m. June 20 at Pickerington High School North, 7800 Refugee Road.
Because cancer never sleeps, relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length. The American Cancer Society event gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost and fight back against the disease.
At the event, teams of people camp out at Pickerington High School North and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event.
