LA GOY
Roger Paul LaGoy, 58, of Mount Sterling died Feb. 18 at his residence. He was born April 15, 1951, in Massena, N.Y. He was a retired entrepreneur of sales. A memorial service was held Feb. 23 at Meadowview. The burial of cremains will be in Sacred Heart Church Calvary Cemetery in Massena, N.Y. The family was served by Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, Mount Sterling.

MOREHART
Rachael Ellen Morehart, 93, of Mount Sterling died Feb. 18 at Sisters Assisted Living in London, where she had resided since September 2007. Rachael was born Jan. 26, 1917, in Madison County. She was the last surviving child of Orla and Golda Toops. She married Donald E. Morehart on July 2, 1937, who preceded her in death on June 6, 2003. Rachael was an active member of her community. She was 4-H advisor for many years and an honored member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lilly Chapel where she was a Sunday school teacher and led many missions projects. She was also active in the Ruth Naomi Circle. She was well known as an expert seamstress, quilter, cook and baker. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. She was a devout Christian, a loving mother and friend. We have many memories to remind us of her and we are at peace knowing she has returned to her eternal home, but nothing can fill the void her absence will create. A Graveside service was held Feb. 25 in Pleasant Cemetery, Mount Sterling.  The family was served by Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, Mount Sterling. OGLE
Bobby Lee Ogle, 79, of Williamsport died Feb. 18 at his residence with family at his bedside. He was born Nov. 24, 1930, at home in Pickaway County, the son of Warren and Dorothy (Peart) Ogle. He married Patty Lee Davis on April 10, 1955, in Circleville. Bob was an innovative farmer, mechanic for farm and lawn equipment, and loved collecting toy tractors and going to antique tractor shows. He loved fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He took pleasure in listening to the radio, especially Westfall sports. In the past few years, Bob enjoyed going to Pickaway County Senior Center to play bingo and for fellowship. He often sat on the front porch swing, enjoying life. A funeral service was held Feb. 23 at Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, Mount Sterling. Memorial donations may be made to Pickaway Senior Center or Adena Hospice.

BAYES
James C. Bayes, 83, of Orient died Feb. 20 at Odyssey House of Columbus. He was born Feb. 26, 1926, in Johnson County, Ky. He was the son of the late John and Eva (LeMaster) Bayes. Mr. Bayes was an area grain and livestock farmer, member of Ohio Pork Council, Knights of Pythias, Sherman Lodge 470 of Harrisburg. A funeral service was held Feb. 24 at Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, Mount Sterling. Memorial contributions may be given to Derby United Methodist Church, 11792 London Road, Derby, OH 43117 or a charity of choice.

SESIC
Patricia M. (Baldwin) Sesic, 57, of London died Feb. 20 in her residence. Born on March 12, 1952, in Sinking Springs, Ohio, she was a daughter of Ernest and Mary Maxine (Johnson) Miller. Patty had been a Head Start teacher with the Miami Valley Child Development Center for 19 years, was a member of First Baptist Church of London, and was a former Girl Scout leader. Funeral services were held Feb. 26 in Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home and Crematory, London. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Madison County Relay for Life.

SHERMAN
Robert L. Sherman, 90, formerly of Van Wert, Ohio, died Feb. 22 at Madison Senior Living Community. Born on Nov. 18, 1919, in Van Wert, he was a son of Williard and Elsie (Fanaff) Sherman. Mr. Sherman had retired from a paper company and was a member of Elks Lodge 1197, Van Wert, where he served as secretary for several years. A memorial service will be held on a date to be announced. The family is being served by Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home and Crematory, London. Memorial contributions may be made to Elks Lodge 1197, Van Wert; Madison Senior Living Community, or Odyssey Health Care.

MEADOWS Jr.
David Lee Meadows Jr., 50, of London died Feb. 21 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born on Oct. 23, 1959, in Columbus, a son of David Lee and Betty Jane (Clifton) Meadows Sr. Dave was a tree trimmer by trade with Madison Tree and Landscape. A funeral service was held Feb. 25 at Rader-Lynch and Dodds Funeral Home, London. In lieu of flowers, Dave’s family requests that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.

FOWLER
Jerry Lee Fowler, 65, of Springfield died Feb. 22 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. Born on Jan. 8, 1945, in Jamestown, Ohio, he was a son of William Vernon and Emma Jean (Nibert) Fowler. Jerry had been employed as a machine operator for the former Drickett and Dial corporations, but most of all enjoyed farming. Memorial services were held Feb. 27 at Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home and Crematory, London.
