Post secondary enrollment meeting at CWHS

The Post Secondary Enrollment Options Program permits high school students to earn dual college and high school graduation credit through the successful completion of college courses.

The program is intended to provide expanded opportunities for appropriately qualified students to experience course work at the college or university level. Although limited opportunities may exist for students in grades 9 and 10, most colleges participating in the program expect students to have attained junior or senior status prior to their participation.

On Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m. a meeting will be held at Canal Winchester High School cafetorium to explain in greater detail the opportunities available to students under the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options program. Students interested in participating in the Post Secondary Enrollment Options program  at  any  time during the 2010-11 school year must then indicate such intent, in writing, to the high school guidance office no later than March 30, 2010.

As a pre-requisite for eligibility in the program, all students and their parents who are interested in participating in the program are required to attend this meeting or, if they are unable to attend, to contact the guidance center to make separate arrangements.

Prior registration is not required, but any inquiries for additional information should be addressed to Linda Knicely, Senior High Counselor at 920-2646. Last minute weather-related postponements or cancellations will also be communicated via voicemail by calling that same number.
