West Side Duals at Briggs

West High School senior Derrick Neimeister claimed his 100th career win with a final round pin over Phillip Halko of Bishop Ready. The milestone win brought Neimeister’s season record to 29 -1. The two 160-pound wrestlers faced off at the Second Annual  West Side Duals held this year at Briggs High School. The Jan. 20 event matched up Franklin Heights, West, Briggs and Bishop Ready high schools and recognized their senior wrestlers between rounds. 
Kyle Dempsey of Briggs High School takes down Marquis McClendon of Franklin Heights on his way to an eventual pin. The 112-pound wrestlers faced off during the final round of the West Side Duals held Jan. 20 at Briggs. 

Josh Hall of Bishop Ready High School works toward a final round pin over Abdullahi of West and a team championship in the Second Annual West Side Duals. The Jan. 20 event was hosted by Briggs High School. Bishop Ready took the top honors over West in the final round while Briggs topped Franklin Heights.
