Family Literacy Night

| Lyn Ford, interactive storyteller of "Home Fried Tales" from the Greater Columbus Arts Council, recently interacted with kindergarten and first graders at one of the two Family Literacy Nights sponsored by Groveport Madison Schools at Groveport Madison High School. April Bray, Title I coordinator and family activity organizer, said Ford brought a bag of props she used and kept the students engaged for 45 minutes by having them perform along with her story. The next Family Literacy Night is on Dec. 9 from 6-7 p.m. at Groveport Madison Middle School North. The Southeast Columbus Library will be present to share the benefits of joining. Student created books will be will be display and as well as a book fair and bookmark creation station. |
