Uptown on the Hilltop details announced

The 2009 Uptown on the Hilltop Parade has been set for Sunday, Nov. 1. Friends of the Hilltop (FOTH) will host the parade again this year. State Senator Jim Hughes and State Representative Dan Stewart are serving as honorary co-chairs for this special event.
The parade will step off at 1 p.m. Parade participants are asked to begin assembling in the ODOT parking lot, 1980 W. Broad St., at 11:30 a.m. The parade will proceed west on West Broad Street.
Visit the Friends of the Hilltop Web site at www.friendsofthehilltop.org for the entry form and further details, all of which should available by Tuesday, Oct. 6.
Entry fees are $100 for businesses, elected officials, and candidates. Nonprofit organizations, civic groups, and individuals are asked to pay $25. Entry forms and checks must be received prior to the day of the parade.
According to FOTH, it has been confirmed that the West High School band, cheerleaders, ROTC, and color guard will participate in the parade.
