Violet Twp. FD releases holiday assistance info
This holiday season the Violet Township Fire Department is referring families in need of assistance to Fairfield County Information and Referral.
Information and Referral will begin accepting applications for Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance starting Oct. 5.
Applications may be filled out at Information and Referral, located at 108 W. Main St., Lancaster, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Applications are also available online at www.informationreferral.org.
This year, a representative from Information and Referral will be in Pickerington to assist in the application process. You may stop by the Pickerington Library, located at 201 Opportunity Way, Pickerington, to fill out an application or to have your questions answered on the following dates: 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 5, noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 17, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 21, 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 27, noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 7, and noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 12.
A representative also will be available at Violet Fire Station 592, located at 8700 Refugee Road, Pickerington, on the following dates to take applications: 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 7 and 14 and Nov. 4.
