Hundreds sign water petitions

Hundreds of Madison Township residents came to the Madison Township Community Center Sept. 22 to sign petitions protesting what they believe are issues with poor water quality and high water bills.

According to Groveport Madison Board of Education President and petition sponsor John Kershner, approximately 300 signatures were gathered on site with petitions for hundreds of more residents being circulated by community volunteers and organizers.

The petition is also online at http://www.petitiononline.com/MADWater/petition.html

A rally to gather final petitions, distribute yard signs and discuss future plans will be held at the Brobst Park 5355 Winchester Pike, Canal Winchester, on Sept. 29 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Residents using Ohio American Water are welcome to attend.

For information contact Kershner at (614) 264-5315.
