Letters to the editor
Sealey says thanks
I want to thank all of the individuals in the Groveport community and many, many, kind and thoughtful individuals in Groveport Madison Schools, teachers and students for their prayers, kind words, flowers, cards, food, hugs and smiles during the passing of my husband, Larry. It is very true what Chris Bower said to me when she came to my home that, "We take care of our own," and that is exactly what you did.
I especially want to thank a couple of my former students Logan Tigner and Cassidy Compton for making me her extraordinary chocolate chip cookies and bringing them to me. Logan and Cassidy drove over to my house and sat with me and gave me some very special and needed hugs. Wow....it's hard to believe that I was once teaching Logan at Madison Elementary and now she's going to be a senior at the high school next year! Thank you, young ladies!
I also want to send a special thank you to Coach Brown for coming over to my house and talking to my son the day his Dad passed. Coach, this was just such a special thing for you to do, because my son really needed you then and I'm sure you will continue to counsel him in the future. Thank you, Coach!
Finally, I want to say, thank you to GMLEA for making a donation to the Michael J. Buckley Scholarship Fund in memory of my husband, Donna Drury and the Groveport Madison Board for their flowers, food, cards and kind words of comfort during this difficult time. There are so many other people that I want to thank and you know who you are. I wish I could list all of your names, because I know that it has to be about a hundred of you who came to Larry's funeral and I have about that many cards, so thank you from the bottom of my heart for the LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
