Keeping it green

Fairfield County Livestock 4H member Kyla Aho, 12, waters her Canal Winchester community garden plot filled with plants she tends for a 4H project. She is accompanied on her daily rounds by her dog, Gracie. For the third year in a row, Canal Winchester residents were invited to plant vegetables and flowers on land tilled by the village. Rows upon rows of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, beets, corn, squash, and even a few potato plants create a living patchwork and a source for homegrown produce.
