Canal Winchester's Relay for Life
The fourth annual Canal Winchester Relay For Life will be held June 12 at 6 p.m. through June 13 at noon at Canal Winchester High School Stadium. Everyone is welcome to attend this 18 hour overnight walking event is the American Cancer Society's signature fundraiser.
The event is packed with fun and games along with the opportunity to celebrate cancer survivors and remember those who have lost their battle to cancer. Teams from the community, schools and businesses will have fundraisers and games going on throughout the event at their campsites.
The Columbus Crew's championship trophy will be on display, Relay Idol will be held, and a luminaria ceremony on June 12. June 13 will start with aerobics by Fitness Firm at 8 a.m. followed by animals from the Columbus Zoo at 10 a.m.
Cancer survivors will enjoy a meal at 6:30 p.m. June 12 provided by Village Wines & Bistro, O'Charley's, and dessert from Miss Marci's Sweet Treats. Any survivors interested in attending, can call Ron Catron at (614) 571-7435.
