This vacant commercial property, located on Briggs Road, was ordered by Franklin County Judge Harland Hale to be demolished by last Aug. 1. An appeal filed by the owner put a temporary stay on that order, but demolition of the property has begun this spring. The property had been vacant for several years. Code enforcement became involved in 2005 in response to complaints from community members about the condition of the property.
