French Run Elementary recognized for leap

French Run Elementary School has been recognized for a great leap.
At the April 21 meeting of the Reynoldsburg School Board, the school was recognized for its accomplishment made over the past three years from a state rating of Continuing Improvement to Excellent with Distinction.
School principal Dr. Jana Alig's administration is credited with fostering an atmosphere of creativity and out-of-the box thinking in regards to teaching and team work.
The John Thomas Educational Consulting firm was on hand to report how the district compares to similarly sized, income-based suburban districts in Franklin County in regards to support staff to student and administrator to student ratios.
Of the 42 districts compared, Reynoldsburg has the lowest support staff to student ratio, meaning that the district has the least number of support staff to number of students of any of the compared districts. There are only two districts with fewer administrators to students than Reynoldsburg.
The independent school levy support organization, Save Reynoldsburg Schools, also shared details of its on-going S.O.S. campaign. More than 200 volunteers have been canvassing all neighborhoods in the district, knocking on doors, sharing accurate information about levy details and what the levy means to residents, as well as passing out flyers.
"They have done a great job," said Trish Moore, district communications. "I just can't say enough about them, they've worked so hard."
