Judith Vaughn, a Lincoln Village resident, takes her Halloween decorating seriously. For the last three years, the scene in the front yard of her Old Village Road home has become more and more elaborate. “People really responded to it,” Vaughn said. By Halloween, Vaughn estimates that she will have spent nearly a month completing this year’s scene, saying she will likely be working on finishing touches until trick-or-treaters arrive. According to Vuaghn, her yard becomes an interactive haunt-spot for neighborhood children each year, as they have an opportunity to explore her creation, and even pose for photos. |
