Former Ohio First Lady Hope Taft (shown here) led tours of the Heritage Garden at the governor's residence throughout June 21 at Bexley's 2008 Inaugural House & Garden Tour. More than 300 supporters gathered for the Bexley House & Garden Gala, which began at the Governor's Residence and Heritage Garden. Ohio First Lady Frances Strickland welcomed Gala guests. After tours led by Docents of the Governor's Residence and Heritage Garden Docent program, guests were able to go on private tours of the remaining homes and gardens. Nearly 1,000 people toured 11 homes & gardens during the tour. The Gala and Tour raised $60,000. Proceeds will go to Bexley Women's Club scholarship program.
