| Pickerington Central High School band director Mike Sewell wipes away tears as Bill Schermerhorn of Macy's presents the Pickerington Central marching band with an invitation in the form of a drumhead to march in the 2009 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Macy's only selected nine high school bands from the hundreds that sent audition tapes. "We are honored and thrilled to have received the invitation although it is not surprising because of the quality reputation this band organization has had for years," said Pickerington Schools Superintendent Dr. Karen Mantia. |
