Chapter 142 of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) presented awards to several Westside businesses for their assistance in a yard sale held to benifit the organization. According to representatives of the DAV, several Westside residents attended the yard sale and made no purchases, but still donated. A van was purchased with the proceeds that will be used to transport veterans to a new clinic. Those businesses that helped include Staples, Firestone, Sears, George’s Coney Island and Bob Evans.
