Jackson Township hosts clean-up event
The annual Jackson Township Clean-Up will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 13, at the Jackson Township Administration Building, 3756 Hoover Road. The event is sponsored by the city of Grove City, Jackson Township, Keep Grove City Beautiful and Local Waste Services.
Jackson Township and Grove City residents can dispose of major appliances, construction materials, shrubs, bushes and other yard waste for chipping, trash, and tires (limit four per household). Ohio Mobile Shredding provides safe, secure document shredding. Possitiv!ty offers protected disassembly and e-waste recycling of computers and electronics. There is a $10 charge for CRT monitors (old computer monitors) and $20 for televisions, regardless of size.

The annual Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) mobile collection, hosted by the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO), is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 13 at TOSOH SMD Inc., 3600 Gantz Road in Grove City. Franklin County residents may bring their old gasoline, lighter fluid, thinners, pool chemicals, oil-based paints, spray paints, fluorescent light bulbs, propane tanks under 20 pounds and corrosives such as drain cleaners. Residents can find a detailed list of accepted and non-accepted items on the SWACO website. This collection is not intended for businesses.
