Local athetlete competes at state wrestling tournament

| Central Crossing High School senior Vince Pickett goes after Mark Martin of Lakewood St. Edward. The 170-pound wrestlers met up in the final round of the state wrestling tournament held March 1-3 at Value City Arena. Both wrestlers entered the tournament undefeated by any other Ohio wrestler. Both wrestlers entered the final round with decisive wins over their opponents, with Pickett winning his matches 13-1, 5-0 and 10-2. When the clock ticked off at the end of the day, it was Martin coming away with the 3-2 win. |
