Authors to share stories of the Lazarus family
Stories of the historic Lazarus Department Store and the Simon Lazarus family are the topic for First Saturday at Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Ave., on March 3.
Local authors Elise Walker and her parents, David and Elizabeth Meyer, will speak about their book, “Look to Lazarus: The Big Store,” at 11 a.m. in the Huntington Chapel.
The Lazarus family is among the 150,000 people buried at Green Lawn.
The program is free and open to the public. This event is coordinated by the Green Lawn Volunteers.

My favorite memory of Lazarus Dept. Store is back in 1969 my Dad took me with him to do some shopping and he let me pick out a "Batman"sweatshirt.....man was I stoked!!! That was a great day! |
