4h of July events on the Eastside
Reynoldsburg
The Reynoldsburg Community Association will once again sponsor the Fourth of July Parade, which will be held at 4 p.m. July 2.
The parade will begin at Rosehill Road and East Main Street traveling east down East Main Street, turning onto Haft Drive and ending at Davidson Drive in Huber Park.
The theme for the 2011 Parade is “Reynoldsburg Honors the Past and Looks to the Future.”
The Reynoldsburg Truro Historical Society and its members are the Grand Marshal for the 2011 parade.
The parade will stage on Rosehill Road between Livingston Avenue and East Main Street. The association requests that all vehicles be removed from the street before 1 p.m. The parade staging will begin at 3 p.m. and Reynoldsburg Police will be closing traffic to Rosehill Road at 2:45 p.m.
The 2011 Bike Contest sponsored by RCA and the Reynoldsburg Visitor’s Bureau is being held at 3:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Cooper State Bank. All youth are invited to decorate their bikes and participate.
The City of Reynoldsburg will have a fireworks display in Civic Park at dusk July 2 and residents are encouraged to attend.
Pickerington
Pickerington will holds its city July 4 celebration July 4 at Victory Park, 100 Lockville Road.
The park opens at 4 p.m., with activities including rides, concessions and entertainment. A parade will begin at 6 p.m., followed by a fireworks display at 10 p.m. The event will run until 11 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the city of Pickerington Parks and Recreation Department.
